ME ~Shelly~
Welcome to Diva in the Outdoors!
My name is Shelly!
I am a private person, basically keep to myself, mind my own business and try to live the simpler life.
I created this blog to share a journey….my journey! I have only been hunting 5 years, so I am a work in progress.
I got my 1st exposure to hunting from my dad. He was such an outdoorsman in every sense of the word. I am convinced he is the smartest man I know. He hunted, trapped, bird watched, fished, and garden….you name it.
I have always wanted to be a hunter……….life circumstances prevented me from pursuing that dream.
GOD threw me a curve ball 5 years ago on a PRAYER and placed a man in my life….and well that changed everything. No…..I won’t bore you with a love story. But…..Marcus did slowly integrate me into the hunting world and now is my biggest supporter, best teacher, and hunting partner in crime. He is patient and accepting that I am a pain in the ass, and he is always there to guide me. Only wanting the very BEST for me!
I don’t pretend to know everything or anything about hunting. I cannot sit still for the life of me. I get incredibly excited about wild animals. I am a simple girl. I don’t have the best or most expensive hunting clothes or equipment. I love trail cameras, baby wild animals, and BIG BUCKS! I love to garden, dabble in natural resources, dehydrate, and watch birds.
I fly by the seat of my pants and can be reckless at times. I am just an average girl and am far from being a diva in the true sense of the word. There is nothing better than sitting out in nature watching GODS beauty. I find it is the only time that I am able to shut my mind off and think of nothing.
I haven’t shot a deer yet and have 2 huge turkeys(Fatty McDougal and The Godfather) under my belt.
I hate pictures, especially of myself and rarely share them. But this blog is my journal, my trip on this earth, my journey through this one life to live. So, walls down……..I welcome you in!
